2 Months Left!!!

We now have only 2 months before we leave Germany. I am happy and sad at the same time. I am happy to leave this gloomy weather of nothing but rain and dark skies. I am sad to be leaving the friends that I have made and the friends McKaila has made as well. I am excited to go back to Idaho for 5 weeks and to be able to spend time with friends and family. We were hoping to make a trip to Great Falls but it is looking doubtful at the moment. Some scheduling conflicts came up. I am still hoping to make it work somehow.

We will be in Thailand in 3 months and 4 days. I am not looking forward to our flight there. From Boise it is 2 hours to Los Angelos and then 21 straight hours to Bangkok. I think there is a stop for fuel in Tokyo. We will be in business class which will make it a little more comfortable. I wish there was a way to make the kids sleep for the whole flight. I know that isn't going to happen so I'm just going to have to make sure to bring lots of goodies for them to eat and play with. I think it'll be harder on McKaila just because she'll want to run up and down the aisles.

David left for a trip back to the states today. Luckily he is only got till late Thursday night. Usually this trip is 8 days. I guess I have to be happy about that. The kids had shots today. McKaila just had one poke and Kameron had 4 pokes and an oral vaccine. Poor little guy. He has been really congested lately and his chest has been rattling. He was checked out today by the doctor and it is mostly upper respiratory so she says it is just from teething. He should be having a tooth pop through soon. He has always been weighed naked but the last two times he has been weighed with clothes on and a wet diaper. So he weighs 15 lbs 1 oz. He is right on schedule. He has grown an inch in two months and has gained 1 lbs since his last appointment 2 months ago. They like to see 1/2 lb a month gained. Good job Kameron. He got rice cereal for the first time yesterday. He loved it.

McKaila is just loving having a little brother. She likes to push him in the swing. She likes to push a little too fast sometimes. Whenever he is on the floor on his tummy she gets on her tummy and plays with him. I am so happy that she hasn't had any jealousy issues with him. She has had a couple of rough days though. Yesterday was rough. She woke up at 4 in the morning screaming. I went into her room and she had pulled her diaper off. No more nightgowns. She has to have bottoms on all the time now. Anyways she had pee'd all over her bed and soaked her clothes, sheets, and 2 blankets. She was holding her diaper in her hand (which was completely dry) and said "uh-oh". Then while she was standing in her crib she had to have pee'd again because there was a huge puddle on the floor. That was a nice wake up call. That just started the rough day for her. She had a hard time in church too. Atleast until nursery. Our ward has doubled it seems like. Hanau base and Darmstadt are closing so their wards have joined ours. I can't believe how big Sunday School was. They now have 10 kids in nursery. The only bad thing is they are in a tiny room. They are adding a third floor though to our building. Hopefully that will add some more rooms.

I am off to make dinner. Don't know just what yet. With only having 2 months left I better start using the food we have in our pantry before buying any more. Oh and for those who were wondering about the showing of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition for the Stockdale family. It is expected to air Sunday, October 14. Make sure and watch it :)Just a few pictures for you to enjoy.

Kameron loves to swing. He also loves his fingers.

McKaila has a whale spout on the top of her head.

It was a little cold for me but McKaila loved swimming.

Kameron didn't swim but he loved being outside.

Great News

Sorry I haven't posted lately. Things have been going crazy here. So my great news is that my sister-in-law and her family have been chosen to recieve Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. I'm sure everyone has watched the show atleast once. They are the Stockdale Family and you can see updates on it and pictures if you go to CBHhomes.com. They get to see their new house tomorrow. They are a very deserving family. You have to check out the website or even google Stockdale Family. You'll find tons of articles. The show will airdate sometime in October. We really tried to get home for it but it wasn't possible with David's job. I won't get into details because I am annoyed with his job right now. One thing I'll say is that his work week is never set in stone. His trips this week have changed 3 times. Anyways on to a happier subject...

David, the kids and I all went out for a nice long bike ride yesterday. This was the first chance that I really had to ride my new bike. David and I have really really nice H&M bikes. It was more than I ever wanted to spend for a bike but it was worth it. The difference between my jeep bike and this bike is huge. The kids had a fun time on the bike ride too. Kameron slept most of it and McKaila slept a little at the end. We rode for a little bit and stopped and had a little picnic. We had to get two bike trailors. Well we didn't have to but it makes it much easier. Kameron can't sit up yet so he can't sit by McKaila in her trailor and his carseat doesn't fit in there. The seats that sit on the back of your bike were more expensive then a trailor. So they each have their own and Kameron lays on a big blanket in his. He really enjoys it.
So here are a few pictures of our bike ride and the scenery of it. Enjoy the pictures.

4th of July

In the morning the community had some things going on over in the fieldhouse. McKaila and I marched along in a parade. She had fun waving her little flag around. They had some other things going as well. They had bouncy castles and slides, jousting, face painting and a few others.

We didn't have the best weather for the 4th. We haven't had nice weather at all lately. When we woke up in the morning it was pretty cloudy.I was hoping for nice weather so we could enjoy the outdoors. We didn't have rain during the parade but after the parade it rained a short bit. Then it was nice and sunny. Then it was cloudy and raining again then sunny. It did this all day long.

We had some friends over for a BBQ. David and Randall ended up cooking outside but we all ate inside. David and I recently purchased a tv projector. It projects the image on a screen or a wall. Well we have it in our bedroom until we sell our bigscreen out in the livng room. Let me tell you it is nice. The funny thing is that the image in our bedroom is bigger than some of the screens at the movie theater here in Germany. Anyways we brought the projector out into the living room and all watched a movie. After that was over we headed out to the base. Once again it was raining. I prayed that it would stop raining atleast for the fireworks. My prayers were answered. It dribbled here and there a little before but once the fireworks started there wasn't any rain. The fireworks were beautiful. McKaila was scared at first. She didn't like the loud booming. Once we were excited for it and ooooing and aaahhhhing she was fine. She would say WOW after each one. She is a funny girl. We didn't get home till around 11:30. McKaila was exhausted and slept till 10 this morning. I had to wake her up so she'd still take a nap this afternoon. All in all I guess it turned out to be an ok holiday. We miss our family and friends though and wish we could be with them all.
This is McKailas first picture that she has ever really colored. She colored it in nursery today. The bottom of the paper says "Our bodies can do many things"

We have less than 3 months here and I am hoping that the weather will clear up. I have been told it is going to be rainy and wet until September. I hope not because Kameron only has 2 pairs of pants 3-6 months and everything else is shorts. Last summer was really hot so I thought it would be that way again. There is still hope. It has been in the low 60's here while in Idaho it is nearly 100 degrees. Maybe tomorrow will be a nice day. I can only hope.

Yeah for Nursery!!!

I can't believe July is already here. Time is really flying by for us. Well David is finally home. He got home yesterday morning. The kids and I picked him up and then went out to the base in Hanau. He hadn't been feeling well so he stayed home today from church. So the kids and I went to church by ourselves. McKaila went to nursery for the first time today. Brother and Sister Albrecht are the nursery leaders. Sister Albrecht put her hand out to McKaila to walk to nursery with her and McKaila grabbed her hand and let go of mine. Off she went. She went straight for the little kitchen. I know what to get her for Christmas now. She loves those little things. I kept coming back and checking in on her every now and then. She seemed fine everytime. The leaders would see me and tell me she was doing well. McKaila was telling everyone what to do (not really). She loves to talk so the leaders said she was telling everyone what to do. When I picked her up after church they said she def. missed her mommie but they were able to keep her calm enough to stay in nursery. They must be confused. McKaila loves to say mommie and tells me things throughout the day on what she has found and what she is playing with. I think that is all she was doing because everytime I checked on her she was fine and playing. Needless to say she will be back next week. I am so excited that she is finally able to go to nursery. This is a huge relief to David and I. The room in which they meet for priesthood is usually in the chapel and we don't want McKaila to be the least bit loud in there. In relief society the room is really tiny so McKaila usually just ends up going with David and he'll take her out if she gets loud. Well I just thought I would share the good news with everyone. Yeah for nursery!!!! Yeah for July!!!

Kameron likes Elmo just like McKaila.
