RSV again

Sorry I haven't posted in a long time. Things have been pretty crazy around here. My parents are in town visiting. Both my mom and dad were able to come out this time. We are having a blast.

Jayden has RSV again. He has been sick for a few days and got pretty bad the day my parents flew in. I decided to try to wait it out. I tried taking him to the urgent care but they were closed so we just went home. Just a little bit longer I decided he was sick enough for the ER. He had 3 days of fevers and 4 days of a yucky cough. They did the RSV swap and once again it came back positive. The battery of tests started again. They drew blood and ran some tests, chest x-rays, sterile urine culture (which involves a catheter), IV, and vitals. Poor little Jayden.  The ER doctor was an idiot to say the least. He charted that Jayden has bronchioctasis which is a lung disease and most commonly in adults. He also kept calling Jayden a she even though I corrected him multiple times. Even in his chart he wrote she this and that. His chart did say he was a male though. The doctor also said Jayden's ears were perfectly clear and made it sound like I was overreacting. When I told him he had RSV this time last year he said if I wanted him to he would do the RSV swab. Then there was something in the chest x-ray but they didn't know what it was so he gave us an antibiotic. We were allowed to go home as long as we saw the pediatrician the next morning. When we saw our pediatrician he was ticked off at the ER doctor. He said Jayden does not have a lung disease. He has bronchiolitis as well as RSV. Also Jayden has a double ear infection. Hmmm. Interesting because the doc. at the ER said he was fine. Both the pediatrician and I were very upset with the ER. The ped. told me that's why you never go to the ER although he knew I needed to. So Jayden is on his nebulizer, an antibiotic, benadryl, tylenol and a steroid. Poor baby. He looks miserable.

This blog has changed the way pictures are uploaded and I am not too fond of it. I will try and figure it out soon. Thanks

Segway Tour

Sorry for the lack of posts. I can't believe it has been over a month since I posted last. We are keeping busy I guess.
My best friend from Alaska came to visit up last week. We had lots of fun and she did a lot of shopping LOL. On Thursday David had the day off and told Erica and I to go have fun. We already toured DC the first day she got in but we had the kids and the weather was getting yucky. We really wanted to ride segways so we found a segway tour and it was a blast. We had so much fun riding them. Plus, we got to see all the things that we didn't get to see before. I am not the best tour guide and Ken did a great job explaining everything to us. Very informational and we felt so cool riding these things :)
At first, it was kind of scary getting on it. They show a video before you practice and the video had people falling and hitting their heads and how easy it was to fall. We got pretty scared but we survived. In the middle I was even texting while segwaying LOL. Don't worry I was safe. I only texted David to ask how the kids were. Erica and I didn't fall at all. We are professional segwayists now. All in all we had a great visit. Thanks again Erica.

We were so cool in our pink helmets :) We were the only ones wearing the pink ones. Everyone else had black or white.

The people in my group. The lady in the pink shirt was crazy on her segway. She fell off once and would go fast and then really slow. It was hard to be behind her when going single file. The funny thing is her husband (to her right, our left) was always at the front of the line and left his wife in the back. I think he was tired of her going to slow. LOL.

Colonial Beach

After the fair was over we decided to spend some quality time with the kids. They had a babysitter for 8 days straight and about 8 hours each day so that David and I could run our Eco4You (eco4youonline.com) booth. It went pretty well for being our first time there. Anyways, we really missed the kids and decided to head out to the beach. It was about an hour away but so worth it. The kids had a blast playing in the sand and David and I had a fun time playing with them as well. Poor Kameron got 2nd degree sunburn on his back. I did put sunscreen on all the kids but I just found out salt water washes it right off. His back is just now healing and it has been 2 1/2 weeks. He had scabs and blisters. I feel so bad. McKaila and I got burnt pretty bad as well but nothing like Kameron. Enjoy the pictures.

The view from the restaurant. The canopy closest is us :)

McKaila playing in the sand.

Me and my three kiddo's. I know it looks like I am wearing a hair net or something interesting. It is a headband but it was too far forward in the picture. Oops.

McKaila was such a fish. She loved to put her face in and swim to me. She did really well.

I buried David in the sand and he decided it was nice enough to take a nap for an hour. The towel is protecting his face from getting a sunburn :)

Kameron going to collect more water.

Happy Birthday Daddy

I know this is very late but I h ave an excuse :). Usually whenever I upload pictures of the kids I upload them from Davids camera. Well since sometimes he needs to take the camera for work, I get out my little point and shoot camera. I forgot I had this stuff on there until today. Sorry its pretty late David. Davids birthday was on July 12. He turned 25. I can't believe how old we are getting LOL. I turn 25 next Sunday :) Ignore my voice trying to get McKaila to sing on a higher pitch. Happy belated birthday Daddy. ( We did sing to him and celebrate his birthday on time. This is just too cute)

McKaila telling a story

This is back from the 4th of July while we were waiting in the hotel room until the fireworks were going to start. She is so silly.

Triplets

Last Saturday morning I woke up with some slight cramping on my right side. I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't. The pain was getting worse so I thought I would try to take a warm bath. The pain was so intense that I woke David up again and told him I was going to the ER. He told me that I couldn't drive myself. When I told him that I had to because he needed to stay home with the kids, he told me to take some of his Percocet to help with the pain. I thought I'd give it a try, so I took two and waited. The pain still wasn't going away after about 30 minutes so I drove myself to the ER. By the time I got there the pain was pretty much gone. I was feeling pretty drowsy from the medication and decided to drive back home to go back to sleep. I hoped that maybe I could sleep it off till the walk in clinics would open up. As soon as I got back home, Jayden started crying and wouldn't calm down. After about 40 minutes of being up with him crying, I finally laid back down. David was awake and talking to me and telling me to put Jayden back in his crib. He wasn't making much sense. You'll see what I mean later. After about an hour of lying down and trying to sleep the pain came back the second I tried to roll over in bed. I got dressed again and woke David up again and told him I was going back to the ER because the pain wasn't going away. I was the only one in the waiting room when I got to the ER. It was so nice. It did take a little bit to get me registered because they couldn't spell my name right. I was there when I gave birth to Jayden and my name was spelled right so I am not sure what the confusion was. I couldn't get an IV or pain medication till they got it figured out. How hard is it to spell my name? Seriously. I had to write it out for the lady. It took 4 people to get my name spelled right on my hospital bracelet. Anyways, I explained my pain and then I got an IV while I was being admitted and trying to explain my pain to the doctor. I was in horrific pain and finally got my pain meds. They made me pretty sick. I had to put both rails up on the bed because I was afraid I would pass out and fall out of bed. They took me down for a CT scan and about an hour later the doctor came in. She walked in and told me I was having TRIPLETS. I was pretty confused and told her I wasn't pregnant. She giggled and told me that I was having kidney stones. 3 of them to be exact. They gave me more pain medicine and then I was discharged. I forgot to add that shortly after I was admitted, David called me and asked where I was. Poor guy. I told him I was in the ER and he didn't remember a thing about me waking him up several times and what not.
I finally passed my stones Wednesday morning. Two of the were stuck together which is probably why it took so long to pass. David has had kidney stones before and now it was my turn I guess. My poor kids are screwed. It is genetic in both of our families. David was so good to take care of me and the kids while I laid in bed for a few days. The pain is very similar to laboring. The worst part is that you don't get a break between "contractions" and you don't get to look forward to a cute baby at the end. I hope that is the end of my kidney stone adventure. I was able to catch the two stuck together so I need to get them to the urologist to figure out why I got them in the first place. Glad it is over with.

Jayden

I can't believe Jayden is 7 months old now. He is growing up way too fast. He can sit by himself really well now. He has been sitting up for a while now but within the last few weeks he has really mastered it. He is trying to get up on his knees as well. Some of his little friends his age are crawling already. My baby's like to take their time. I have to say I like that much better :). Jayden also has his two bottom teeth. He is such a good baby and very content. I am so glad he is in our family. The kids love him and he loves them right back. McKaila has a special place in Jaydens heart I think. She can always make him laugh.

Wii Night

We definetly love our Wii. I have had a blast playing Mario Kart at night after the kids have gone to bed and David has paperwork to do. It helps me unwind :) We have a date night on Saturday nights after all the kids have gone to bed. We join 4 other couples from our ward and we get online and race each other. It is a fun date night that all couples look forward to. The next day at church when we see each other, we giggle and laugh at the nights games.
We decided to let the kids in on a little bit of Wii fun. We let them "bowl" and "box". They had a blast with it. Enjoy.

Kameron and his daddy

In the midst of family pictures I saw this. This is priceless. I am so glad I was able to get these shots of Kameron and David.

Family Photos

We were able to get some really good family shots. These were all taken with our camera :) We had a friend take the family shot of everyone together. If David is in the picture, I was taking the picture. If I was in the picture he was taking the picture. I have to say I am pretty impressed with how they all turned out. We were sad that we were missing Ryan and Caden though.

Jaydens Blessing

While we were in Idaho we had the opportunity to bless Jayden. We chose to wait to bless him until now because we wanted as much of our family there as we could. We had planned our trip to Idaho before Jayden was born so this worked out perfectly.
It wasn't fast Sunday so the bishop wouldn't allow us to bless Jayden in Davids parents ward. We decided to do it at their home instead. We had a great turnout with friends and family.
We are so blessed to have Jayden in our lives. He is such a sweet boy. We get comments all the time on how good of a baby he is. We love him
 so much.

Wiggle Dancing

The kids love watching The Wiggles on tv. They love the song "a sailor went to sea sea sea to see what he could see see see..." I tried to capture the cuteness on camera. There were a couple videos but this is the best I think.

Jayder's Jumping

Here is a little video of Jayden in his jumparoo. I think this was his second time in it and hadn't figured out how to really jump yet. I think it is still cute.

Boys will be boys

He is so muddy!!

Don't you just love this face? I know I do.

I don't think I need to caption any of these pictures. They speak for themselves. Enjoy.

Egg Roll at the White House

We were able to get tickets to go to the Egg Roll at the White House this year. In the past you were supposed to wait in line the night before to get tickets the next morning. David was actually excited about waiting in line with friends to do something for his family. Apparently DVD's are brought and pizza is usually ordered and it is a fun event with other dads. This year was different in that you got tickets online instead. We are lucky to get some. It was a huge mess and the site was super busy. It took us an hour of refreshing the page over and over and some tense moments to get the tickets.
Anyways, the event was the day after Easter. We were all excited and told the kids we were going to the White House. McKaila kept saying the whole way there that we were going to the White House. I asked her if she knew what it was and of course she didn't. I told her its where the president lives and she responds with "Oh! Can I open it?". I responded with "McKaila its where the PRESIDENT lives, its not a PRESENT." Silly girl.
We decided not to take strollers because we knew the kids would walk the whole time and wouldn't want to be strapped in the stroller. We didn't want to have to worry about keeping an eye on our bags and stroller while trying to have fun with the kids. The kids did so well walking. They walked from the parking garage to the metro and the rest of the time walking to the White House, around the White House and back to the metro and van. They were exhausted to say the least.
The Egg Roll is basically when you take a hard boiled egg  and roll it down a little hill with a big  serving spoon. We didn't even do the egg roll because the lines were huge and once you got in it was over in less than 30 seconds from the looks of it. We actually didn't get to do too many activities. We stood in line to see some characters and the kids dyed eggs but that was basically it. They also had jump rope making, an egg hunt (in which you didn't even get to keep the eggs...so glad we didn't do that one or we would have had some tantrums), a kids cooking show, face painting, and a few other things.
They also had some famous performers. Fergie was there in the morning (we were in the afternoon time slot), the Imagination Movers, Ziggy Marley, Jessica Jarell, DJ Jordan Heiitz, and SteveSongs.
We were glad that we were able to go and get our wooden Souvenir Egg but if we don't get tickets again we won't be disappointed. It was very overcrowded and not organized very well. I heard today that they let in 10,000 more than they did last year. That is a lot of people and explains why it was so crowded. I hope it isn't like this again.  THe kids loved it and didn't really care that we didn't do anything extra.
We took lots of pictures so I picked out the best ones. I hope you enjoy them.

This is the view in front of us as we waited to get into the White House. There was even more behind us.

This is how the kids felt about waiting in line. Kameron was not to happy at all but McKaila was fine.

Story time with Ben Olson from D.C United Soccer Team

They sure do love each other.

The Electric Company from PBS kids were  performing on the stage behind the kids.

The kids and I with Max from the cartoon Max and Ruby. The kids thought he was the Easter bunny :) It was nice because the line to see him was much shorter than the actual Easter bunny.

This is the egg on the commerical with the boy who has really fast hands and he is stacking cups. Its the Incredible Egg.

I love the clouds in this picture.
