Ocean World Again

Some friends went with us to Ocean World. We go there quite a bit to see the fish and to play at the indoor soft playground. Here is a video of the kids in the playground. Kameron was having so much fun crawling through the balls and Kaila loved going up and down the slide even though in this video it was a little bumpy. Enjoy

2 more weeks

David emailed me yesterday to inform me that he isn't going to be home until the 27th now. Apparently his office scheduled his plane ticket for the wrong day so we assumed he was coming home the 21st but it looks like not until the 27th now. I am so sad that it is now going to be two weeks till he comes home. It has been a rough couple of days. My nanny informed me yesterday that her x-husband isn't doing well and she needs to go back to the Phillipines to get some things taken care of. Basically she doesn't have the money for it and is asking me to pay for it knowing she can't pay it back. They don't make very much money here but she also sends half of her paycheck each month to her daughter. Her daughter has a facial abnormality and nobody will hire her. So she raises pigs and then sells them. She relies on her mom to buy the pigs for her I guess. It is also custom here for the families who are employing the maid/nanny to help out in case of family deaths and arranging funerals. This will not be the case with hers because he is her x-husband. This applies only to children and spouses. I don't know. This just stresses me out without David here to take care of all of these things.
Kameron is going to be in a baby modeling photo shoot on Tuesday. It is for a formula company I believe. I am a little disappointed because I sent his pictures along with Kaila's but only Kameron was chosen. I was really hoping for Kaila to get to because you get professional photos to take home. It would be nice not to have to get theirs done but I guess we'll have to figure out something for kaila. I know she doesn't know anything but if she knew she would feel so hurt knowing her brother got in and not her. I think they were going after more babies though. Oh well.
I hope you all enjoyed the videos I posted. I got a little crazy with posting them because I finally figured out how. There will be more to come though so keep your eye out.

Kameron walking

I knew I had a video of Kameron someone. This one is of Kameron walking just the other day. he usually does better if he is walking between the nanny and I but she was doing laundry. Enjoy.

ABC's

Here is another video of McKaila singing. She is really good at her ABC's but she was being a big goof in this video. This shows how silly she can be. If you listen closely you can hear her singing through her spinning around. I need to get Kameron on my camera. I have him on my video camera but I don't know how to get that video on here. I am just now figuring out how to post these videos so there will be a lot more videos to come.

Happy Birthday

McKaila loves to sing happy birthday to whoever had a birthday last. I had her put daddy's name in it since his birthday is next month. This is a song she sings on a daily basis. enjoy. .

Ahhhhh McKaila!!!!

The purpose of this blog was supposed to be so I could post pictures of the ultrasound I had yesterday. I am sad to say that isn't possible anymore. While I was making dinner McKaila decided to play on my computer, which she knows she is not allowed to do. Well she somehow managed to delete all but one of the ultrasound pictures that the hospital gave us on a cd. I can't show you the one ultrasound picture that we do have because it shows the sex of the baby. I have decided to keep it a secret for a little longer. Sorry for the suspence but we want to be sure before we blurt it out. I am only 13 weeks so it was hard to tell but the doctor gave us a 70% guess of what it is.
All of the screenings for down syndrome went well. Our baby has a low risk of having downs. They do four tests now to screen for it. They first listened and watched the blood flow of the liver. That looked fine on baby. Then they proceeded to look at the right ventricle of the heart and look for regurgitation. Baby passed with flying colors. They also look at the nasal bone. There is a high risk of down syndrome if the baby has one part of the nasal bone but our baby has the normal two parts. Lastly they check the nuchal chord or the fat on the back of the baby's neck. Anything below .3 is considered to be low risk. Our doctor measures 3 times to get an accurate reading. Our baby's measurements were .21, .18, and .20. All in all s/he is at a low risk. Yeah for a good doctors appointment.

5 down 14 to go

That is days until David gets home. He is once again on a boat trip. It is really hard with him gone this long but hopefully it'll be over before I know it. The nice part about him going on these boat trips is although he is gone for nearly 3 weeks he gets nearly 3 months salary in one paycheck. I have to try and keep that in mind.
The kids were driving me insane today. The nanny had to leave earlier than usual because she had some kind of mass at church in the afternoon so I was home with the kids by myself. Doesn't sound that bad does it? Well it was. I find myself having a very difficult time being alone and not being on my medication. I just get really stressed and have to get out of the house. Doing so requires a lot of energy and that is one thing I am lacking right now. Finally after dinner I couldn't take being bottled up anymore so the kids and I headed out for a walk. We went to starbucks and had a chocolate frappacino (don't worry mom there's no coffee in it) and as we were sitting there enjoying our shake, a huge elephant walked by. It is normal for us to see elephants now a days but they usually aren't on the main sidewalks on sukhumvit. They are usually down one of the soi's trying to get people to pay to feed them. We quickly finished our drink so we could go find the elephant again. Sadly we missed it. It must have gone down a soi (street) and we walked right by it.
As we walked into the driveway we saw our friends kids, Jason and Stephanie. McKaila wanted to run up and pet Roxy their golden retriever. McKaila then proceeds to tell them about the elephant we saw. Then she sadly says "We missed it". I'm sorry Kaila. While we were walking we also saw Mike, David's boss from Germany. He just got in last night and is becoming the new boss here. He is such a funny guy. He is always the Easter Bunny, Santa, Cupid, you name it and he has the costume. He is always wearing bright colored shirts and funny looking hats. He always yells at the kids but they still love him. Anyways we saw him and he asked where David was. I told him he was on a boat and poor McKaila just wanted her daddy. For the next hour she kept saying "See Daddy Mommy, mommy I see daddy" I kept telling her daddy was at work and she demanded " I see Daddy now!!!" Poor girl misses her daddy.
Wow this turned out to be a longer post than I had intended. I do like to talk a lot. I have an ultrasound on Monday, June 9th and I am hoping the doctor will be able to tell the sex of the baby. I am trying not to get my hopes up because I am almost 13 weeks but he should be able to tell if the baby is cooperating. I'll hopefully get some pictures and post them soon. So make sure and check back. I am off to bed. Good night everyone.
