Baby Lee

I had my first ultrasound and everything went well. I am 8 weeks and 5 days and the u/s said the baby is measuring 9 weeks 1 day. I hope this isn't an early sign that the baby is going to be big. LOL. That would move my due date from December 17 to December 14. I asked the doc. if my due date would change and he said no. The baby is measuring 2.42 cm in length. The baby's heartrate was around 172-173. The doctor said all is well and will see me in 4 weeks. It was so great to see our little bean. Right away I felt a sigh of relief as I saw the heartbeat.
Can you pick out the arm and leg buds? If you see where the lower curser is at the bottom of the baby, it is on the baby's left leg. I can see it really well but can you see it?

My darling Kameron

This blog entry is dedicated to my sweet and handsome son, Kameron. He is such a good kid (with the exception of this past week). He smiles all day long (once again with the exception of this past week) and he loves to give cuddles. If he is upset all you need to do is give him his blankie and he'll be ok. Once the blankie is in his hands his two fingers go straight into his mouth. He will get so excited to see his blankie that sometimes his fingers will go into his mouth just seeing his blankie coming towards him. Today his blankie was lying on the floor and he crawled over to it and just laid down on it and put his fingers in his mouth. It was so cute.
He has been such a crab apple this past week. I don't know what is going on with him. The only thing I can possibly think is that it is teething. He has 2 eye teeth ready to pop through any minute. I am hoping they do and my sweet boy will return.
He is getting closer to walking. He has taken his first step the other day. He was walking with my hands and I let go and he took a step and then sat down. He'll be running before I know it. We are trying to get him to use more words and not just whine for things. This has been the issue with eating. He'll just grunt loudly and start crying if you don't give him food when he see's it. We are trying to get him to sign more and occasionally he will. He has learned how to say more within the last few days. He loves to get into things he isn't supposed to. One of these things is the DVD's and VHS tapes. As you can see in this picture he has his hand on Flubber and is looking at me to see my reaction. He knows he isn't allowed to but he is hoping he can get away with it since I was taking pictures. I kept saying "No" the whole time but it didn't seem to phase him.

This picture was taken today. Its just of Kameron crawling towards me trying to get the camera.

These are two random people that work in 7-11. I had Kameron in the stroller with me and I was picking up some phone cards. Well they decide they want to hold Kameron so this lady just unbuckles him and picks him up. He was ok for a minute or so but then he started to realize what was going on. Then the guy in the picture decided he wanted to hold Kameron and the crying just got worse. Poor Kameron, the people just don't leave him alone.

It is a little hard to tell in this picture but Kameorn is trying to push buttons on my laptop. He knows he is not supposed to touch it, hence the smile. He thought he could be cute and get out of it.

This is just another random picture of Kameron crawling towards me.

My Sweet McKaila

McKaila has changed so much this week that I am dedicating this blog to her growing up. Before I get too much into her growing up I wanted to quickly post about McKaila's first case of conjunctivitis. This morning while McKaila and I were getting ready for church I noticed she had some yellow discharge in the corner of her left eye. I didn't think much of it and off to church we went. Maybe an hour later on the way to church I noticed that McKaila's eyelashes were now crusted over with yellow discharge. I later called the embassy health unit and they said to just bring her in to see them in the morning. It was probably viral and they couldn't do much. Well after McKaila woke up from her nap her eye was almost swollen shut. I decided to take her to the walk in clinic at Bumrungrad. My neighbor watched Kameron while I took Kaila in.
When we get to the pediatric unit about 5 people looked at McKaila's eye and sent her down a level to the eye doctor. He placed McKaila on my lap and McKaila put her chin and forehead on their little machine. She did so well and sat very still. He said that she had bacterial conjunctivitis. I'm glad we took her in because it is very contagious. So we were given eye drops to give McKaila 5-6 times a day and then some ointment to put in her eyes at bedtime. Poor thing. Her eye just kept getting worse and worse throughout the day. This is a picture of McKaila happy as can be in a taxi on the way to the hospital. As you can see her eye is now a little worse. This is waiting for the doctor at the eye clinic. The nurses were loving McKaila. She wasn't minding the attention either. She was weighed and she is 12.75 kilos (more than I though she weighed).
One of the newest things with McKaila is she is almost completely potty-trained. She wears panties around the house and does really well. I say she isn't completely potty trained because when we go outside the house its a little different. I am too afraid to put her in panties because I am afraid of where she will pee. She does keep her pull-ups pretty dry. She is doing really well. In this picture she found Kameron's binki (which I tried giving him to help with teething but he still doesn't care for it) and was using her panties as a pocket. Don't worry I didn't give it to Kameron after. I washed it and put it back in his closet. She has become very motherly and loves to carry her babies around and sing to them.

McKaila has become such a girly girl and loves to have her hair curled. The other day I used the curling iron and curled it. She loved it.

This is a back view of it.

Sometimes we use curlers. She was walking around with her princess shoes, her curlers, and her baby most of the day.

The other new thing with McKaila is she is now sleeping in a big girl bed. Like 4 nights ago or something the kids and I were taking a nap, and I heard these little footsteps come into my room. It was McKaila. I was shocked and looked to see if I saw the nanny with her. I walked into McKaila's room and saw this huge mess. I should have gotten a picture but I was so upset and tired. She had taken out everything from her drawers and scattered it along with anything she could fine. She took a bottle of febreeze and emptied it on her floor. She took toilet paper and spread it everywhere along with water and flouride drops. I cleaned the mess up and put her back in bed. She crawled right back out. I knew that it was over so we got her big girl bed all set up and explained she had to stay in it like a big girl does. She did much better than I thought she would have. The first night she got down a couple times and ended up sleeping in her crib and crawling out at 7 in the morning to come and wake me up. The next night she got out of bed maybe once and the rest is history. She doesn't get out of bed anymore. The only complaint is she wakes up at 7 and I can't just put her in her crib and lay her back down or let her have quiet time. She is in my room at 7:01 and we watch cartoons for a few minutes and then she plays in the tub while I shower. This makes me very exhausted throughout the day. So here is a picture of her big girl bed. Her crib is still in the room until daddy comes home and takes it down. Her bed is a little messy because she was jumping on it before the picture.

Tomorrow will be my first ultasound. I am nervous and hope all is well. I will try and post tomorrow or shortly after and I also will be posting on my dear boy Kameron so make sure and check back often.
