Dream World

About two weeks ago we went with some friendsto this little place called Dream World. It is about forty-five minutes or or so from where we live. Dream World is kind of like a mini Disneyland. There were rides for all ages. They also had a storybook area which had statues and other things representing some sort of fairytale. There was a stone with a sword in it that you could try and pull out (Sword in the Stone) they had a cottage of sleeping dwarfs (Snow White), a giant lying in the ground (Jack and the beanstalk) and many more. This place was quite fun. We were at the park all day long. We left as they were closing and we got there as they opened. The kids were so tired. Kameron maybe took a 15 minute nap the whole day and McKaila took a good 45 minute or so nap. This is Asia's first hanging roller coaster. The lines are very slow because they have only one train. The need two so they can load one and have it go off as the first one comes in. None of the rides had more than one train (or whatever you call it). It made for some long rides. This ride was fun but very jerky.

McKaila had such a blast on these little cars. Her face lit up as they first started moving. I have never seen so much excitement on her face I dont' think. She really thought she was driving. It went up these little ramps and back down. She got off and said "fun mommy". It was so cute.

McKaila also loved riding in these little boats. The employee would try and get McKaila out everytime she came around but she kept saying "No" and they weren't really busy so they let her go around for a while longer. They gave her two little paddles that she could use.

Inside Dream World there was a place called Snow World. We thought it would be fun for the kids to play in the snow and have a chance to go sledding. We were all in shorts and I had no idea how we were going to go play in the snow and stay warm. Upon entering you take your shoes off and place them on the counter. They take your shoes and bring you a pair of snow boots (which were rain boots). It was really disgusting because other people wore them before you and no one wear's socks. Once you put your feet in the boots your feet are instantly cold and wet. I can always wash my feet after so it wasn't too big of a deal. They had boots for McKaila but there were still pretty big. While carrying her up the hill they'd fall off. They also provide coats for everyone. McKaila and Kameron looked so cute in their oversized jackets.Once we hit the door before all the snow it was so cold. It was quite a shock. By the end our noses were cold. This picture was just as we were getting everyone in the boots and coats.

Kameron is such a goof ball.

McKaila sitting on a rock with the penguins. Notice her beautiful red boots?

David and I think she looks like a penguin with this jacket on. When she walked she looked like a penguin too. I guess its pretty hard to walk when you have a jacket around your ankles.

Kameron's first time in the snow. He wasn't quite sure of it. He actually started crying when we first put him down. Then he was getting his picture taken by tons of Thai people and then he started to cheer up.

This is the hill that you could carry a tube up and sled down. It was actually quite steep when you get up there. When McKaila and I went down she started crying but by the time we were half way down her crying turned to laughing. I was scared that we were going to flip off and go rolling down the hill. There were bumps and dips all over and we always seemed to hit the dips. It was such a blast. Kameron enjoyed it as well. he went down more than McKaila did. Kameron and David are the 6th one over starting from the right. See the guy with his hand up and he's the furthest down the hill? That is our friend Ian. David is to his left (your right).

Our little princess. She insisted that she sit in Cinderella's carriage. People were taking pictures of her and one person asked if they could be in the picture with her. We need to start charging people baht for taking pictures. David could quit and we could never have to work another day in our lives :) They get their pictures taken so often.

Most of you should recognize this game. You lift the hammer and try to hit it hard enough and ring the bell. Well this is that game. The only difference is you don't have to physically pull the hammer up. Well you do but do you see that curved metal pole to David's right? You lift the hammer along that thing and then pull it down. David tried a few times with very little success. We knew it wasn't how hard you hit it but how you hit it. So David watched the carnie's do it a few times and got it figured out. So David tried again and he won. He got a rhino stuffed animal. So we went to another hammer game so he could win the elephant animal for Kaila and this is what happened. He broke it. That was the end of the day for the carnie's. It was quite funny and the carnie's were quite surprised that he broke it. He didn't even win. He was so so close to ringing the bell but the hammer broke right before it hit the target so it didn't get the full strength. So we didnt get our money back and we didn't win an animal. I think David deserved something :) It was quite fun.

They had this beautiful sunflower garden right outside the giants house. It is so beautiful.

We finally got to ride an elephant. The trainer looks like he is texting on a phone or something. It is very cheap to ride the elephant taxi. It was 100 baht which is around $3. McKaila loved it. This was the last thing on our agenda before leaving for the day.

We had such a fun time with our friends and family at Dream World. I hope you enjoyed the pictures.

Wow, what an update! Glad to hear that things are going well. I just feel bad for the elephant...it looks so old and sad. I'm glad you guys had a blast and you're going to have the best baby books filled with all these adventures.
